However, lead, like many good things in life, if not handled responsibly, can harm the environment and our health. So, act responsibly. Be sure to return your used battery to our authorised dealers only and prevent it from falling in wrong hands.

PRECAUTIONS WHILE HANDLING YOUR BATTERY


Product Specific Warranty/Terms & Conditions

WARRANTY TEMRS & CONDITIONS OF TUBULAR INVERTER BATTERY
  1. The tear off portion of warranty card to be handed over to the authorised business partner for registration of warranty within 7 days from the date of sale duly filled in all respects by the business partner.
  2. The warranty commences from the date of sale to the end user, if tax invoice copy and original W/Card is provided. Provided it is sold to end user within 3 months from the company's invoice date.
  3. Centria Batteries are warranted against all manufacturing defects only. Consequential liabilities will not be entertained. However, reduction in backup time is not a manufacturing defect and is caused due to usage conditions. Hence, battery cannot be replaced for low backup time.

  5. The completely filled original warranty card, along with a copy of cash memo/bill, must accompany all claims arising with the warranty period. Tampering or overwriting of battery serial number of warranty card will invalidate this battery claim.
  6. In the event of any complaint, the battery must be returned with complete electolyte, un-tampered and should be submitted to the nearest authorised company’s business partner/dealer for battery adjudication and subsequent replacement if found faulty owing to manufacturing defect.
  7. The final right to determine whether the battery needs repairs, rectification or free replacement rests with the company.
  8. The defective battery being replaced will become the property of the company and no scrap rebate will be given for it. The warranty period on the battery being repaired/replaced free of charge shall commence from the date of sale of the original battery as stated and not from the date it got repaired/replaced.
  9. Recharging is not covered under the purview of this warranty and shall be billed as extra. Also the octroi duty/local taxes, if any, becomes leviable on the battery under repair/replacement and shall be borne by the consumer/customer.
  10. The warranty does not cover the product, if failure of battery is due to deep discharge, overcharge and improper topping-up.
  11. All liabities under this warranty shall cease if the battery is transferred to a third party of any other application.
  12. All liabilities under the warranty shall cease if the battery is used in any application other than that specified in the company’s application chart.
  13. The warranty will not be applicable in the condition of damaged, bulged, burst, worn out and/or burnt battery.
  14. Lead acid battery can not be revived if it is deep discharged. Hence, a deep discharged battery will not be accepted under warranty.
  15. If the damage to the battery is caused by accident, fire faulty electrical system, improper handling, terminals damage, service of the battery by an unauthorised dealer and incomplete service record on warranty card, then the warranty will be nullified.
  16. In the event of any particular battery model being phased out or non- availability, the company reserves the right to provide another model of the same capacity which suits the purpose, as settlement of the warranty. No price differential will be paid or received.
  17. For a battery purchased on discount under pro-rata settlement, fresh warranty would be applicable on new battery. However, the defective battery would become the property of the company and no scrap rebate will be given for it. Pro-rata discount will be 25% on prevailing M.R.P.
  18. All disputes are subject to jurisdiction of civil courts at Gurgoan, Haryana.
  19. Consumer is deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these conditions at the time of purchase.
  20. In case of any consequential damage due to the product, the company or its brand ambassador shall not be liable to make good the losses so incurred to any person or property and the company shall at all times stay indemnified by the customer.
  21. ALL FITMENT SHOULD BE AS PER COMPANY'S APPLICATION CHART FOR THE VALIDITY OF THE WARRANTY

WARRANTY TEMRS & CONDITIONS OF HOME UPS & INVERTER

The certificate of warranty should be retained and produced in case of your UPS requires service under the terms of the warranty along, with original purchase bill /invoice.

  1. Within 24 months from the date of purchase, any replacement for components found to be defective due to faulty workman ship or defective material, will be made, and repair executed, free of charge by the company, Parts repaired or replaced are guaranteed throughout the remainder of the original warranty only.
  2. Repair under warranty may also be carried out by our authorized dealer throughout the country at the address of the first installation.
  3. The warranty does not cover any type of damage resulting from accident, misuse, application of incorrect voltage, fire and water.
  4. This warranty become null and void if any alteration in the electrical circuit or part either by way of adjustment, addition to or which has been subject to negligence, misuse or accident, damage caused by unauthorized person or while in transit, attack by household pests, lighting abnormal voltage.
  5. The company will not accept any responsibility for damage or loss incurred during transit of the UPS.
  6. This warranty is not valid if the Serial Number and or Warranty Seal of the UPS has been damaged, defected or altered.
  7. Warranty will be treated as null and void if earthing precautions have not been taken as specified in installation instructions.
  8. The "Certificate of Warranty should accompany the UPS, if services under warranty period are required to be carried out by the company's authorized dealer service center.
  9. This warranty does not cover the cost of transportation of the UPS from the installation place to service center.
  10. Any accessory (like battery, battery trolley, LED I LCD, plastic parts or any household goods etc.) connected to the system will not be covered under warranty, 11. If the UPS is purchased from unauthorized source dealer, the warranty will be null & void for lodging any claim. Customer has to produce the warranty card & invoice in original
  11. This warranty is issued at GURGAON court at HARYANA shall have exclusive jurisdiction over matter covered by or following from this warranty.
  12. NOTE: Warranty covers all the objects related to UPS only.

    The warranty does not cover the damaged part of the property or batteries due to some other reasons like short-circuit in DB wiring and sparking in battery wires.

WARRANTY TEMRS & CONDITIONS OF AUTO/CAR/TRACTOR & COMMERCIAL VEHICLE BATTERY

The certificate of warranty should be retained and produced in case of your UPS requires service under the terms of the warranty along, with original purchase bill /invoice.

  1. This warranty cards is a very important document & customers are advised to have this completely filled & kept in a safe place. To Validate this card, you are required to fill all necessary information (owner name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and date of purchase). In the event of a manufacturing defect in the battery during the warranty period, this warranty card will be required along with the original invoice to process the claim. The company processing a claim will not entertain incomplete warranty details.
  2. One portion of this warranty cards is a tear-off & is to be filled & left with the dealer from whom the battery is purchased.
  3. The warranty commences from the date of sale to the end user, if tax invoice copy and original warranty card is provided. Provided it is sold to the end user within 3 months from the manufacturing date.
  4. Centria batteries are warranted against all manufacturing defects arising within and limited to warranty period only. Consequential liabilities will not be entertained. However, reduction in charge due to faulty wiring, wrong installation or poor workmanship is not a manufacturing defect. Hence battery cannot be replaced for the above mentioned reasons.
  5. Warranty on Centria Automotive battery is applicable only if used in CAR/TRACTOR/MUV/SUV/LCV/HCV/3W (other than vehicles used in mining & drilling application)
  6. For Genset and Ambassador Non AC, Meter Taxi, Commercial Taxi the warranty will be flat 12 months from the date of sale.
  7. In the event of any complaint, the battery must be returned with complete electrolyte, un-tampered and should be submitted to the nearest authorised company’s business partner/dealer for batter adjudication and subsequent replacement if found faulty owning to manufacturing defect.
  8. The service record on the warranty card must be filled in regular as proof of specified maintenance. Failure to do so will invalidate the warranty.
  9. In case of a replacement, battery is provided free of cost as settlement of claim, the warranty period on the replaced battery would commence from the date of sale of original battery and not from the date of replacement.
  10. Breakage of the container or terminals of the battery are not covered under warranty
  11. If the battery required to be charged during the warranty period the same will be done on chargeable basis. This service is not covered under the preview of this warranty
  12. The right to determine whether a battery needs repair or replacement rest solely with the company. The defective battery being replaced will become the property of the company and no scrap rebate re scrap value will be given for it.
  13. In the event of any particular battery model being phased out or not available, the company reserves the right to provide another model of the same or equivalent capacity which suits the purpose, as settlement of the warranty. No price differential will be paid or received#.
  14. The warranty of your battery shall become null & void if:
    • The battery is transferred to a third party.
    • The battery is found to be mishandled.
    • The battery is not connected properly or deployed to wrong use.
    • The contents of the warranty card & invoice are found tobe tampered with.
    • The bar code on the warranty cards defaced or tempered with.
    • The serial number on the bar code is not the same as that on the battery.
    • The battery is found to be damaged due to improper handling by unauthorized personnel, fire, excess heat, theft, accident wilful abused or overcharging.
    • Any electrolyte or material other than battery grade distilled water is used in the battery.
    • The battery topping up with battery grade distilled water is not done periodically, it is not recommended to use tap water, bore-well water, RO water and rainwater for necessary topping up of battery.
    • The battery is found bulged due to overcharging.
    • Burst of battery due to any consequential reasons
  15. It is the responsibility of the customer to bring suspected battery to the nearest authorised Centria Business Partner in case of any trouble.
  16. Consumer is deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these conditions at the time of purchase.
  17. The consumers are advise to refer to the application chart available at the respective purchase counters for recommended applications of the battery
  18. All disputes are subject to jurisdiction of civil court at Gurugram, Haryana.
  19. In case of any consequential damage due to the product, the company or its brand ambassador shall not be liable to make good the losses so incurred to any person or property, and the company shall at all times stay indemnified by the customer.

# PRO-RATA
For a battery purchased of any particular model being under pro-rata settlement, fresh waranty would be applicable on new battery. However, the defective battery would become the property of the company and no scrap rebate will be given for it. Pro-rata discount will be 25% on prevailing M.R.P for the pro-rata warranty period.

(Please note that violations of these guidelines may lead to legal action/prosecution by Government Authorities)

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USAGE AND MAINTENANCE :

  1. The battery should be firmly secured in the cradle. Please ensure that the cable clamps are fit tightly and properly on the terminals. A loosely held battery, vibrates and bounces, causing damages to the container and plates.
  2. Battery connections must be made in the right polarity.
  3. The top of the battery must be kept clean and dry. Vaseline should be applied to cable clamps and terminals. Never apply grease. Terminal corrosion, dirt and moisture cause loss of power and make the battery weak.
  4. Use only battery grade demineralised water for topping up. Do not top up with acid or mineral water or tap water.
  5. Get the fan belt, electrical wiring, alternator, regulator setting and battery open circuit voltage checked regularly. A faulty electrical system will damage the battery.
  6. The alternator charging voltage setting measured across the battery terminal must be maintained at 14.2 – 14.4 volts for a 12 volts system and 28.2 – 28.4 volts for a 24 volts system.
    Note: 1 - Excessive voltage than specified would over charge the battery leading to loss of electrolyte and premature failure battery.
    Note: 2 - Lesser voltage than specified voltage would discharge the battery.
  7. The recommended specific gravity of fully charged batteries for 3W, Taxi/Cab, Passenger Car, Tractor & Commercial Vehicle in Hybrid system is 1.250±0.005 at 270C but batteries for Passenger Car including all DIN in Ca-Ca system will be 1.250±0.005 at 270C.
  8. To get maximum life, it is advised that checks listed under point, no.5 & 6 be carried out once in every 3 months and the service record must be filled.

CAUTION:

  1. Keep away from sparks, cigarette, open flame and candle. These can cause explosion.
  2. Avoid metallic contact across terminals, as this can result in shortcircuits and sparking.
  3. It is strongly recommended not to use any additive or dope. 4. Keep out of reach of children.
WARRANTY TEMRS & CONDITIONS OF E-RICKSHAW BATTERY

The certificate of warranty should be retained and produced in case of your UPS requires service under the terms of the warranty along, with original purchase bill /invoice.

  1. Warranty period will be calculated from date of purchase or date of manufacture plus 45 days (or whichever is earlier), In the event of replacement above ageing will be also applicable. It is NON – TRANSFERABLE and will not be re -issued.
  2. The battery is warranted against any manufacturing defects arising within and limited to the warranty period only.
  3. In case a replacement battery is provided free of cost as settlement of the claim, the warranty period on the replacement battery would commence from the date of purchase of original battery and not from the date of replacement.
  4. To validate this card, you are required to fill in all necessary information (owner name, address, telephone number & date of purchase). This warranty card together with the original purchase receipt must be presented to the VAVE India Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Authorized Service Stations. Any repair/ replacement without this, the claim will not be processed.
  5. In the event of any complaint, the battery has to be returned to any neighbouring/nearest VAVE India Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Authorized Service facility along with warranty card & original purchase receipt. The replaced/ rectified unit has to be collected from the same place where delivery was made. It is advised to bring the vehicle, where the battery under claim was equipped to identify the problem.
  6. Batteries are warranted against all defects arising solely from the use of faulty material or poor workman-ship. Consequential liabilities will not be entertained.
  7. The octroi charges and all local taxes which are chargeable on the battery under repair or replacement will be borne by the customer.
  8. The right to determine whether a battery needs repair or replacement rests solely with the Company. Under circumstances where the battery is replaced, the defective unit becomes the property of the Company and no scrap rebate will be allotted for it.
  9. The Warranty does not cover:
    1. Damages to the battery caused by faulty electrical system, improper handling, service by unauthorized dealer/ technicians, wilful abuse, destruction by fire, collision, theft or recharging.
    2. Recharging of battery. If done shall be billed extra.
    3. Breakage of container & cover.
    4. Damage to the battery due to contamination of electrolyte. The electrolyte must confirm to IS spec. No. 266-1961 and the water to IS spec. No. 1069-1964.
    5. The charging system of the vehicle (Including E-Rickshaw battery Charger) shall be checked by the Company Authorized Personnel or dealer before finalizing settlement of any warranty claim.
  10. All liabilities under this warranty will cease if the battery is:
    1. Transferred to any other vehicle/ Customer.
    2. Used in any application other than E-rickshaw.
    3. Found to have additives, dopes or any substance other than distilled water added to the electrolyte.
    4. Damages due to attachment of additional accessories other than the original fitment.
    5. If battery is charged beyond 16.25 Volts during bench charging.
    6. If discharge below 10.50 Volts
    7. Bursts due to mishandling or abuse.
    8. Out of warranty period.
    9. Not used as a set of four numbers of VAVE India Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd E-Rickshaw batteries.
    10. Charged with less than 15 Amps (65 Volt) but not more than 20 Amps (65 Volt) E-Rickshaw battery Charger- applicable for Tubular Batteries
  11. Customers are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these conditions at the time of purchase.
  12. Company reserves the right to change the specification or discontinue the product due to continuous improvement. In the event of warranty claim, company may replace this battery with an equivalent size and capacity and no refund of payment or differential amount will be applicable.
  13. All disputes are subject to jurisdiction of civil court at Gurugram, Haryana.
  14. In case of any consequential damage due to the product, the company or its brand ambassador shall not be liable to make good the losses so incurred to any person or property, and the company shall at all times stay indemnified by the customer.
